The Globe Theatre Plaque

The Original Globe Theatre was built in 1599 and destroyed twice, the latest restoration of which was built near the original site. The modern Globe Theatre, named the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, is an academic approximation based on available evidence of the 1599 and 1614 buildings. On the place where the Original Theatre was located a Blue Plaque has been erected to commemorate such a historical location. The Plaque reads: "Here stood the Globe Playhouse of Shakespeare, 1598 - 1613".
