30 St Mary Axe
30 St Mary Axe, or informally Gherkin is London's most well known skyscraper. It is located in a primary financial district, the City of London. The skyscaper's fame mostly comes from its unique shape – it resembles a stretched egg, or a cucumber! The Gherkin functions as an office building now, but its elongated and curved architecture holds a special place in the hearts of the Londoners.Фотограф: Sonya

ATTRACTION IN TOURS
Welcome to the City of London!
A City within a city, in a country within a country.
As we will walk across the city you will see how modern architecture seamlessly mixes with classical buildings. We will stop to admire St. Pauls's Cathedral, the GuildHall, and the Bank of England, as well as the modern architecture masterpieces such as The Gherkin and Lloyds of London.
More importantly, you will hear the stories of the major events that shaped the development of the city. We will also talk about old medieval traditions that are still practiced today and how they have impacted the modern world.
